Artist's Comments

another version of my "Portal"... By the way these arenot digital manipulations ;)

Since many have asked, here is how I did it.

Went to a forest, set the frame up with a stick holding it up. the set up a black cloth behind me. I have a remote for my camera that allows me to take the photo without getting up.

Thanks everyone for the favs and comments :)

..... That's amazing! This is the sort of thing I love seeing in photography; imaginative, well executed, and beautifully arranged. I'll admit, I thought it was a manipulation until you said it wasn't. Wonderful wonderful job!! (And I shall watch you to see more!) Is this in a studio or outdoors? I honestly could believe it either way!

How did you get the black around the person?

Awesome. What kind of lens did you/do you use for that?

I must say, I'm hooked on your gallery. There is some really amazing stuff in there. As a film major, I have an understanding of photography and copmosition and all that, and your photos are the epitome of what I wish my films could be. Absolutely wonderful work. Keep it up!

I should try something like that. I have an old frame lying around here somewhere
