An Amazing photo--I just hope that you had an huge telephoto lens and that you were either behind a fence or a looooong way away as you look as if you are right in the path of this pouncing feline ferocity and power! Since you lived to post the photo, I can only assume that something like that was the case. Magnificent capture!

Thank you! It was a rescued tiger (from abuse) so I was safe! They organize "photo tours" and they use the money to feed and take care of the cats :)

I am so glad that the tiger was rescued and your photo helps to advertise that fact. Well done!

There is a sanctuary for tigers and lions that where mistreated or unwanted. They have large spaces to run around. So the people that take care of them, charge for people to photograph them, and all the money goes to feeding these animals. It was very early so there wasn't much light, I believe my shutter speed was between 1/250 and 1/400. :)

Absolutly great timing for the shot.
And even more interesting that the tiger looks directly into the camera.
Hope there was some kind of a barrier between the two of you. ;)
