I love how harsh the hands looked wrapped around that poor little chicken.... but then on closer inspection, you can tell that they are handling him pretty gently. You can almost hear the little kid crying because the chick got hurt, or got left out, and the loving grandfather telling her that it will be okay, and taking the chick into his hands to care for it.

wow you where right in most things....the child was crying because he was "afraid" of the chick, but was holding it gently, and yes the grandfather was helping him out. good job on the story! ;)

And very good decision to not do it in color.
Amazing, how easy it is to think up different stories about how the little chicken "landed" in the child's hands.
